Hans Rueffert is the world-renowned "chef without a stomach." He was diagnosed with Stage 3 stomach cancer in 2005. As part of his treatment he had most of his stomach and some of his esophagus removed. Hans appreciates, firsthand, the difficulties of eating and living without a stomach. He uses his knowledge to create recipes that are nutritious and conscious of the needs of stomach cancer patients. Hans is currently a board member of the Gastric Cancer Foundation.
He is also the author of Eat Like There’s No Tomorrow, a cookbook that includes a original recipes and personal narratives.
